If we are the most superior species, does it not imply that we should survive all other species here on earth?

The widespread opinion is that there are a number of other species which are most likely to outlast us...... that our complex system is not as sturdy and flexible as those of some others........ that we escaped total extinction by a whisker recently (just about 70000 years ago)!!
