Why is such a big deal made out of hamilton being black?

its not like nascar where there is pretty much only white guys racing (montoya aside) as there have been japanese, indians, a malaysian, all different types of races in f1 before and nobody ever made a deal of it yet because hamilton is half black they keep going on about it. It really does seem to me like black people get treated differently than all other races. For better or worse im not sure but certainly know the race card is pulled in america a hell of a lot by black people.
